These lamps called Daroma lamps referring to their manufacturing area as it is called in the Mishna “Daroma” (Aramaic for “south”).
the area includes the southern part of Judea (the southwestern part of the Hebron hills), especially the area of Beit Guvrin. Today we know that these lamps were made in several places throughout the Holy Land and the types attempt to divide them accordingly.
however, since the source of the lamps is unknown the division is uncertain. The lamp nozzle winged, besides that two volutes flanking its sides. The filling hole is large as are the shoulders, leaving enough room for decoration.
The base is a very low ring and knob handle, decoration with a branch with two volutes and two clusters of grapes,
stemming from above the filling hole down to each shoulder.
