**Time of Jesus: 1st Century AD**

This vessel features a blown tubular rim that folds inward, a cylindrical neck that widens toward the flat base, and a double squat globular body. One of the earliest types of blown-glass vessels, it has a short body and a long neck, allowing for slow pouring in tiny drops.

Popular throughout the Roman Empire, these bottles were used for perfumes and scented oils, often placed in burial caves, earning them the nickname "tear bottles" for collecting the tears of mourners.

**Tear Bottles in Scripture**

King David mentions this tradition in Psalms 56:8: “…put my tears into your bottle, are they not written in your book?” In Luke 7:38, a woman washes Jesus’ feet with her tears, which may have been saved in such bottles.

The tear-collecting bottle symbolizes repentance in Christ and comes with a certificate of authenticity and export documentation, shipped directly from the Holy Land.
